Our mission is to empower people to improve their lives and their communities, to make the world a fairer, more inclusive place.

We create high-quality products, content and learning environments, to teach people how to code and help businesses connect and engage with customers.

London App Developer started as a blog in 2015. It was born from the belief that the best way to learn something is to teach it to others.

It soon grew to over 1 million readers and in that time we’ve created courses, a YouTube channel, and built a business around the idea of helping others navigate the fast-paced world of technology.

Our work has been featured in the Daily Mail, Mashable, the Huffington Post, the Mirror, TechCrunch and Gizmodo, and our students come from over 130 countries. We believe in progress not perfection, in continual self-growth, and that anyone with the right attitude and determination, can learn how to code.

Meet the team

Mark Winterbottom

Mark is the founder, tech lead, and face of London App Developer. He can pretty much tackle any technology. He also has a good sense of humour and the ability to get on well with anyone. His love of meditation and cycling means he’s a chill guy to have around. This has a calming effect that is desperately needed in most – if not all – development environments. Brooke Rutherford

Brooke is the tastemaker of the team. She handles all the branding, communications, production, editing, customer service, and general nit-picking / quality control of our work. Her attention-to-detail means she’s pretty good at managing the boring stuff like finance, planning, strategy and buying tea and coffee from Waitrose. She is the brains behind the business.
